Dog Day Afternoon

I love dogs. Woof! These are just a few shots from my afternoon at the dog park with my 15 year old Beagle Zoey and my 2(?) year old rescue chiweenie (we think), Scooter.

Scooter chiweenieWe went to the wonderful Phil Hardberger Park here in San Antonio, Texas and let the pups run free in the small dog area. Scooter met a little female that could have been his sister, while Zoey, true to form, just searched and searched for something to eat. Scooter always makes friends at the dog park, as he loves to interact with humans and other pups.

I was shooting with my 70-200 lens at a high ISO, around 1000-1200, as it was late afternoon and I was shooting at a high shutter speed since the brats do not stand still very long at the dog park. There is some grain in the photos as  a result and due to the late afternoon sun, the contrast was a bit harsh, but I came up with a few photos that I really liked.
